FEATURES: The sapwood is beige, distinct from the heartwood, and the color tends to darken along time, making the wood brown. Irregular grain, smooth to the touch.

SOME APPLICATIONS: Civil construction, outdoor structures, poles, sleepers, stakes, fence posts, open trucks, beams, rafters, slats, floor boards and wooden tiles, door and window plaque supports, beer barrels, tool handles, shipbuilding, keels.

DENSITY: Moderately heavy (density of 0.83g/cm3), hard, easy to handle, long durability.
