(Hymenolobium)

FEATURES: light yellowish brown heartwood, different from the light brown sapwood. It features a strong fibrous aspect on the tangential face due to the prominence of the axial parenchyma, fibers and vascular lines, wavy grain, rough texture with no glow and no characteristic odor.

SOME APPLICATIONS: very durable and easy to handle material for civil construction providing good finish for furniture.

DENSITY: medium density wood, with 13% moisture content it weighs 785kg/m3 and green it weighs 1,210kg/m3.
